Ginesart is a microbrewery artisanal located in Ginestar, on the same left bank of the Ebro river in the region of the Ribera d’Ebre, within the protected area declared Biosphere Reserve. Our microbrewery bets on malt combinations to find a perfect equilibrium between both ends of taste and flavor scales. Our beers have the ingredients covered under the German law of purity (Reinheitsgebot) of 1516: water, barley and wheat malt, hops and yeast. So we make integral beers because of their ingredients.

Our microbrewery specializes in beers Ales or high-fermentation. We recommended you to drink our beers fresh or less cold than Lager beers.
The Village
In the past, irrigation land was scarcer than dry land, but with the installation of a new irrigation system by the Irrigation Community, it has been greatly increased. The main products cultivated are vineyards, fruit trees, almond and olive trees. Crafts cane (reeds) and pottery, were traditional and the past, although currently nonexistent.Ginestar comes from an Arab farmhouse where, according to tradition, there was a big Spanish broom, which was known as Mas de la Ginesta, a farmhouse with a few clustered houses.
Agriculture is the base of the municipality's economy
The origin of the population is subsequent to Christian restoration, though tablets of the Visigoth period have been discovered within the municipal boundary.
Ginestar was under the rule of the Templars, from whom it received a town charter in 1206. Once "l'Ordre del Temple" was removed , the village was ruledby the Hospitalers.
In 1408, the presence of King Martin the Humane in the village, who was spending some time in Tortosa, as well as Philip II's stay in the village in 1585, as part of his second trip to Catalonia.
But back to the present, we're a land-based company, in 2009 we experimented from home and gradually grew, in 2015 we bought a lot from the same population of Ginestar, in anticipation of building the new brewery with a higher production capacity.

In March we inaugurate the company and we start commercializing Ginesart beer. These are our varieties: Il·lusió, Autentica i Il·lusió Weiss. We participate in different fairs in the area of Ribera d'Ebre and Baix Ebre.

During this year, and due to the increased demand , we start producing of 50 liters for week instead of 100 liters. We also double the capacity in fermenters.

We also produce beer for Fira del Llibre Ebrenc de Mora d’Ebre.
